Axiom worked with the comms team at B&Q to develop a robust approach to communication that involved extensive use of measurement.

We carried out a major in-depth communication audit across the whole business. We ran a paper and intranet-based questionnaire that generated clear, easy-to-interpret results for the comms team so they could make further improvements to their communication.

In addition, we carried out “Pulse Checks” to measure specific communications, such as conference cascades. For these, we used face-to-face interviews and focus groups at a selection of B&Q stores to assess the extent to which the latest messages had landed. Again, the results helped the comms team plan their ongoing activity.
