Defining Psychological Safety: A potential unlock for your organisation.

There is a lot of talk about Psychological Safety these days – and rightly so. But we need to go beyond using the buzzwords and be super-clear about what it really means in your organisation.

To help provide an unlock and trigger your thoughts, here’s a working definition that we are using as the basis of conversations with our clients, inspired by the work of Amy Edmondson. Psychological Safety is: ‘Creating an environment of trust, where people feel comfortable being themselves and expressing themselves, with candour and without fear.’
