How to ensure your event Q&A does not become a private chat.
It can be frustrating for event participants when they can’t hear a question or contribution from the floor, see who asked it, nor hear the response – and mics aren’t always the answer.
So, get the facilitator to ask for questions, then walk towards the participant who has their hand raised, get them to stand and introduce themselves and then quickly walk to opposite side of the room.
You’ll find the questioner then projects their and addresses the whole audience, not just the facilitator, in what appears to be a private chat.
