Coral case study

Coral logo“The most informative and motivational conference ever”

Employees across UK betting shop chain Coral have understood and committed to the company’s new strategy thanks to wide-ranging support from Axiom.

We started by designing and facilitating the company’s management conference. Echoing Coral’s ‘Bring It On!’ strap line and given a high-impact sporting theme, the two-day Bring it On! Live kick-off event featured a guest speaker, team activities, motivational video content and interactive technology to generate discussion and capture ideas.

Every participant left with a clear understanding of the strategy and their role in making it happen as well as a concrete set of personal actions and objectives.

The event was a radical departure from previous annual conferences. In particular, delegates appreciated being able to contribute their views and get so many of their questions debated and answered.

Anonymous feedback afterwards included:

  • “Best content and presentation of any Coral conference – really hit the spot.”
  • “Excellent interaction with immediate feedback made me feel part of the event rather than a spectator.”
  • “Refreshingly honest.”
  • “The most informative and motivational conference I have ever attended.”

The management conference was followed by a series of seven regional Bring It On! roadshows for employees across the company. Leaders who’d been at the management conference a few weeks before were tasked with recreating the buzz of that event for their regional teams. As well as designing these roadshows, we provided training and coaching for managers to enable them to deliver them successfully.

What our client says

“Axiom brought their experience, expertise and enthusiasm to help us rise to our employee engagement challenges – from strategic intent through to concrete actions in our betting shops. Their ‘can do’ attitude can be summed up by three words close to our hearts at Coral: Bring it On!”
Richard Lang, chief operating officer, Coral
