We think about the mood music, who sits next to who, (and who doesn’t) the style of hosting, a menu that caters for the increasingly complex dietary requirements of the guests, even who is going to do the washing up afterwards. And yet we put important business meetings in our calendars, daily, without properly thinking through what success would look like, much less the ‘mood music’ around the topic, who sits next to who, (and who doesn’t) the right style of hosting / facilitating and an agenda that sates the appetite and increasingly complex needs of everyone present… even who is going to do the washing up afterwards.
